When it was first announced that Wiz was joining Google, we began one of the most significant chapters in our history. Nearly 6 months since the acquisition closed, I’m humbled by all we’ve accomplished … and even more so by all that’s yet to come.
Being part of Google Cloud has supercharged us even more than we could have predicted. Today, nearly 90% of Wiz customers are using AI‑powered security features and Google Cloud has seen a more than 45% quarter‑over‑quarter increase in the number of AI workloads scanned and protected by its security platform. It is an honor to be trusted by so many of the Fortune 100 and top AI frontier labs.
We’ve stayed firm in the promise that Wiz’s mission was unwavering and that joining forces with Google was the absolute best path forward for our customers and partners. Actions speak louder than words, so I want to take this opportunity to highlight some of the ways Wiz has leaned into all Google has to offer while upholding our commitment to product excellence and innovation.
I often say that Wiz earns customer love every day. So in some ways, this is yet another vow renewal: thank you to our customers for partnering alongside us on the journey – everything we do is for you.
Beyond Multi-Cloud: Protecting Customers EverywhereOne of the most common questions we received in the wake of the acquisition news was, Will Wiz remain a multicloud platform? The answer then and now is yes … but we went even further.
Multicloud is our DNA. Our customers do not live in a single-cloud world. To secure their business, we must protect them wherever they build and run, across every cloud, SaaS platform, and on-prem. This is especially true for AI development. At Google Cloud Next, we announced support for agent development platforms across the ecosystem, including AWS AgentCore, Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, Microsoft Azure Copilot Studio, and Salesforce Agentforce. Our goal is simple: to protect AI development everywhere.
The openness of our platform is core to Wiz, and it is a philosophy that Google shares. Together, we’ve continued to expand the Wiz Integration Network – which now counts 300 integrations in its open ecosystem, including recent additions like Anthropic, Cloudflare, Databricks, Lovable, OpenAI, and Vercel – and our ongoing co-sell and marketplace purchasing experiences. Being part of Google Cloud supercharges Wiz’s reach as we work across all clouds.
Product Innovation for AI-Powered DefenseThe industry’s rate of change is at an all-time high. As AI reshapes the world, customers are turning to Wiz for answers. The timing has never been better to be part of Google Cloud: Google’s deep resources and unparalleled expertise in AI strengthen our ability to help customers adapt to this new era.
Together with Google, we launched AI Threat Defense – which combines the power of Wiz, Mandiant, and Google DeepMind. We have also had the opportunity to work closely with the DeepMind research team behind Gemini Cyber, and to learn from their expertise as we advance our shared approach to AI security.
To help organizations prepare for this new world, we launched a trio of specialized, autonomous AI security agents designed to examine every exposure with AI and enable security teams to respond at machine speed:
Project Atlas is another strong example of how we are turning cutting-edge AI innovation into meaningful products for defenders. Atlas, an AI code scanning system, offers high precision and cost efficiency by relying on specialized agents that operate with the exact model engine best suited to each task. Its 90.9% CyberGym rating outranks both Anthropic’s Glasswing and OpenAI’s Daybreak. Atlas will help power Wiz’s AI code scanning, bringing advanced AI capabilities directly into the hands of security teams. Its multi-model architecture uses specialized agents and the model best suited to each task, helping deliver the precision, speed, and efficiency defenders need in the AI era.
We expanded our product capabilities in many ways to drive even better automation and visibility across the security stack, with updates and new features that extend our reach into SaaS environments and on-prem infrastructure. We also unveiled new ways to secure AI development – ensuring security is built in from the start and protects the full AI lifecycle – and added new use cases in areas like Post-Quantum Cryptography and cloud cost management. Lastly, the introduction of Wiz MCP and enhanced Workflows enables organizations to build custom security agents and assistants.
Breakthrough ResearchWiz Research never fails to redefine what’s possible when you adopt the attacker mindset and use that knowledge to make the world safer. Their work investigating the implications of AI adoption shines a light on where we as an industry need to improve and equip practitioners with strategies to contend with real-world threats.
Wiz researchers have continued to make revolutionary discoveries in AI and cloud:
GhostApproval, a critical trust-boundary flaw affecting six major AI-powered coding assistants. This discovery highlights a broader challenge regarding how we define trust boundaries between users, autonomous agents, and local filesystems as AI coding tools continue to advance.
Amazon Q Developer Vulnerability, a critical security flaw in the Amazon Q Developer VS Code extension where malicious Git repositories could execute code and steal cloud credentials.
Miasma Supply Chain Attack, a malicious supply chain campaign that compromised over 30 Red Hat Cloud Services npm packages with "Mini Shai-Hulud," a credential-stealing worm targeting developer cloud environments.
Threat intelligence on Cryptocurrency Targeting; how sophisticated threat actors target cryptocurrency organizations with advanced social engineering and customized malware.
GitHub RCE (CVE-2026-3854), a remote code execution vulnerability in GitHub that could expose developer environments to arbitrary code execution.
